Does Maius work by itself?
Yes, once you sign in to Claude. Maius runs its agents on your Mac. What it cannot supply is the model: you bring your own Claude sign-in.
What do I need?
Your own Claude account — a Claude subscription or an Anthropic API key.
An iPhone only if you want the phone, voice and notification features.
Does purchase include API usage?
No. Your Claude subscription or API key, and any other third-party charges, are separate and billed to you by those providers.
What can the agents actually do?
Inside its own folder an agent runs shell commands, reads and writes files, and reaches the network without asking each time. That is what makes it useful. Anything that reaches outside that folder shows you the exact command and waits: allow once, always allow, or deny — and if you do not answer within five minutes it is denied. Treat an agent like a capable assistant with access to your Mac.
Does anything leave my machine?
Your conversations go to Anthropic, because that is where the model runs. The transcripts are stored on your Mac. Maius does not route your conversations through us and does not receive them.
How does the download work?
After Stripe confirms payment, the store creates a licence and a signed link that expires after seven days and permits a single download. If you need to download again — a new Mac, a lost file — request a fresh link or contact support and we will issue one.
